About Me

Hello and Welcome To The Green Thumb Almanac

Gregory Schroer is a professional horticulturist residing in the greater Kansas City area, gardening zone 6. Upon graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in Horticulture/Landscape Design he completed an internship at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. Greg has over 23 years of work experience in the retail horticulture industry focusing on greenhouse plant care, design, water gardening and customer service.

The Green Thumb Almanac was born out of his desire to share his years of gardening experience with others. Along with gardening, Greg has traveled extensively in Asia and includes his love of other cultures in his list of interests.
